Happy Birthday Dear HUBBY!!!!

So, I had trouble trying to figure out what to make for my hubby for his birthday. He really likes the Bombshells, so I thought I would make this card up - - Plus they are so much fun to color... So honey - DON"T look below until after you get the card!!!!

This was actually a pretty simple card to put together. After I colored up the Bombshell (psssst there is a tutorial on how I colored her and her hose on the Bombshell Blog today), I stamped the image a couple additional times onto some red cardstock and some zebra print adhesive cardstock. I cut out the entire shoe (minus the straps) out of the zebra print and adhered it to the non colored image on the white cardstock. Then I cut out the red portions and used some zig glue to stick it to the sole and heel of the shoe and the straps.

The image I used was Girls Ruin from Bombshell, and the sentiment is from one of the digi dress up sets called Evening Bombshell. I really love how the zebra print turned out with the red accents. She is one hot lady!!!

Edited to add - I am entering this in the Copic Creations Doodling Challenge. The lace on her bra, and hose along with the lacey ruffles on the top of both were added with a Brush Multiliner! I had meant to include that but realized I had forgotten when I went to enter her. GASP.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have an awesome weekend.

  1. It's a fabulous card that he is sure to love.

Thanks so much for the tutorial. I learned a lot from it.

You and a few others made me realize that I *needed* Girl's Ruin. :D

  2. Wow, amazing card - and I love how you raised your show and she does really look like she's inside! And, of course, you colored her beautifully. The zebra DP couldn't have been more perfect!

  3. Ooooh, I'll BET he likes the Bombshells! This is fabulous! Your coloring is amazing! I'll have to go read up on how you colored the hose. It looks very realistic in such a delicate shade, and I can see that bit of skin tone in spots. Great job! Love the zebra print paper piecing, too!

  4. Alaine, your lacy doodling is the perfect enhancement for this great image on this fabulous card. So glad to see your entry at Copic Creations. ~ Rose

  5. Alaine, she is amazing, of course! I love the lacy doodles you added. Your coloring is perfection every time. Your husband is going to fall out of his chair when he gets this card! LOL! Vavavoom, lady! Hugz, Cheryl

PS - thanks for joining the current Copic Creations Challenge!
