Yippee Ki Yay

Howdy folks! It is that time again - to sit down and enjoy the travels through the web and be inspired by the creativity of the Bombshell lovelies. This month Alison has challenged us to get our Cowboy and Indians out and play around with them.

I pulled out Indian Warrior to work with. The paper pad is FarmHouse Paper company. And I ADORE this map of the midwest... it worked so well with this set. I colored it in the shades of turquoise and reds and browns. Once done I was wandering through my stash and found the leather cord and the turquoise buttons. YEE HAH!

So now it is time for you to check out what the rest of the Bombshells have in store for you. The entire hop list is below, in case you get lost - but for now you are headed over to Marnie's home, home on the web.

I hope to see you back soon, and if I don't get a chance to post again before Saturday - GIG EM AGGIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've Altered my Mind!

Welcome to the Two-For Tuesday Blog Hop! The Bombshell Girls and Pin-ups are thrilled to join forces with Altered Pages Artsociates to hold a huge blog hop that showcases Bombshell Stamps together with digital backgrounds from Altered Pages.

Here is my creation for this fun little hop:

I used Pharmacy Labels from Altered Pages, and Man's Ruin from Bombshell Stamps. Once I had the lovely lady colored, I printed the labels out and cut them out individually. I then mod-podged them to a wooden block (FYI... at this point the wood block was WHITE).  Once they had dried and I trimmed them up... I added my little martini girl on top and mod-podged her on. Once SHE was dryish... I added some distress inks all around. I used different techniques... I sponged it, wiped it, swiped it, dabbed it, rubbed it... Really... I used about every technique to add this Antique Linen ink... Once done I then set it with Super Seal... yeah... that beaded it up so I dabbed that... The end result is above. WHEW... Now  my house smells like Mod podge and Super Seal. WHEW... I guess there are worse smells. ;-)

Now... here are all the deets on the sponsors and the different items up for grabs on this here hop.

Isn't it adorable? This stamp is part of the Bombchell Angel stamp set!

The second project I have for you delves into the wicked side. Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring Wicked Wednesday ATC, and they have challenged all to used pearls and Gemstones.  So I went wicked and Wednesday with Wednesday Adaams!

Growing Hearts

It is MUSE Monday - the day that over at Bombshell Stamps we let our muses out and showcase one of the Bombshell Stamp sets for the entire month.  This months Muse Monday focusses on the Growing Hearts set. It has one main focal image and several side images... of which one is probably my favorite side or icon stamps that is available from Bombshell. (pssst that image is in the bottom  of this project)

I used the Basic Grey Lime Rickey paper, and then chose colors based on that.

Colors Used:
Y11, 13, 15, 17
YR0000, 000, 00
RV32, 32
B34, 37, 39
B41
R32, 35, 37, 59
YG23, 25, 17
G28
YR07

Have a great week everyone! And I hope to see you back soon!

A day late... and now many dollars short. :-)

So, I intended to post this creation yesterday, but life once again got in the way. Earlier this summer my 14 year old was diagnosed with Kidney stones. .. Well the first one passed, but the one on the left was in the kidney and it decided to move yesterday - into her tubes, and in the process cause extreme pain and copious amounts of hurling. So, we spent yesterday at Children's Hospital, where she got her first experience with morphine. Yes... it was an interesting day. We are home now, and hoping she gets better, but we meet with the urologist Monday morning.

So, I am posting a tad late! SORRY!

Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring Time 4 Scraps challenge this week which is Come to the Cabaret!

I took one of my favorite of the new release stamps and made her a cabaret cutie!

I used the Glittery Twinkle Glintz stack for the bottome and side panels of this center step card. Once it was done, I decided it needed a bit more BLING so added the silver stickles and the mesh and bead side embellishments.  Colors were primarily Cool greys, YR000, 00 and E11, and then reds are R24, 29, 39 and E 2x for her hair with a Y11 base.

The next card I have for you is a just for fun card I made using an SCACD stamp.  I love all things steampunky, and I really like coloring the metallic stuff.

For this one I used Y11, Y21, 23, 26, 28 for the golds. The feathers are using warm greys, and the silver is using neutral greys and E04. The browns are the E3x family. Metal is such a difficult thing to color as you have to account for the shine, and also it has a lot of extra colors sometimes like the rusty colors. But this sure was fun. The rivets are metallic - silver for on the gold  or brass areas, and copper on the silver areas.

That is the few dollars short hits. .. HEE HEE.. I had so much fun I went and bought some more images. :-)

Bombshell Sketch and A Sassy ATC

Hey there all! It is Saturday here, and I JUST made it into the house on time! Whew... We just made a MASSIVE grocery run, and made it home right before the heavens opened up on us again.

I have two cards for you today. And both have some focus on water - how appropriate LOL!!!

The first is the card I made for the Bombshell Sketch challenge:

Koi Tattoo is one of my favorites from Bombshell... and look at this super cool new paper I found. I am a paper whore! I swear... I have a hard time getting through a craft store without additional paper. And this last week was no exception. This is Sunbeam Meadow from the Paper Studio. And although I like a lot of the papers in this mini stack, the koi is the reason I bought it.

Colors Used: BG72, 75, 78, B 99 for the water. Y32, 35, 38 and R02, 05, 08 for the Koi.

The second project is an ATC I have made for Sassy Studio Designs. They are sponsoring the ATC's with Attitude challenge this week which is "Just Relax". She looks pretty darn relaxed to me!!!

I went kind of simple for this one - mainly because well.. it had to be small. So the room to add a bunch of stuff was not there. I did add some bubbles with glossy accents, and the bow I made with the fork method because apparently my Bow Easy has taken a trip somewhere without telling me. I do not remember the colors I used on this, and I didn't write them down... So... Sorry!!!!

I hope everyone has a great weekend. And I hope you come visit me again sometime soon.
