Geisha Sweet Pea
Hey there lovely ladies. I wanted to post something I did recently using my new (to me) Sweet Pea Stamps. But alas, I finished this card a few minutes ago using the new Bombshell Stamp digi stamp, and I was so happy with how it turned out I HAD to post it first.
I love the Fairy here. She is so beautiful.
So there are my cards for today. YAY. Loved coloring both up.
Hope everyone has a great weekend, and I hope you come back soon and check out what else I might have cooked up.
She comes with a blank umbrella and this lovely Cherry Blossom one. I printed the image out both ways, and then cut them both out. I cut out the umbrella only with the cherry blossoms and then used a brad to attach it. So it spins around. EEEEk... The quote is something I found from Fiskars stamps and I thought it worked out well. The markers I used are above. The flowers are the R8X series. The other colors I layered on top of each other, so the R0000 and RV000 are on top of each other which gives it a wonderful interesting look. Same with the E7x and the G8x. Turned out really fun.
The second card I have to share with you is from Sweet Pea Stamps, and is colored with the BV0X, E0X and YG0X series. I used the BV04 to color the white pearls around the edge.
So there are my cards for today. YAY. Loved coloring both up.
Hope everyone has a great weekend, and I hope you come back soon and check out what else I might have cooked up.

Very Skelly Halloween
Hippity Hoppity - Halloween is on its way!! It is time for the Bombshell Blog Hop. The theme this month (go figure - Alison came up with it ;-) ) is Skelly's. We have to use Skeletons on the project somewhere. Well that is a load of EAZY for me. My favorite stamps are the sugar skulls. You should have arrived from Milo's blog. If not you should head on over to the Bombshell Stamps Blog to start your tour.
This is the outside of the card. I made a pop-up card for this one. On the black outside I stamped the long series of skulls from that set with black Versafine and clear embossed.
Inside I used the pop-ups (I may show how I did this sometime in the future), and added different design paper on the top and bottom. I taped a black piece (partially cut out with a Nestie) onto the popup area. Originally I intended to just use the pop up area (they were stairsteps) and paste on the skulls, but they jus did not stand out enough for me against that paper, so I added the black.
I used one each of the Sugar Skulls. I colored them with E81, and then added shading with YG91 and 93. The leaves are YG93, 95, 97. I used RV91, 95, 99, V91, 93, 95, 99, E04, 07, 09 and Y21, 23, 26 to decorate the skulls.
Now - you really REALLY should go check out what the other Bombshells are doing today - it is bound to be SKELLY! Sparkly Mary is the next lady on the hop!!!

Think PINK
Ms. October, the wonderfully talented Hey Hey Paula, has challenged us to Think Pink. Well, obviously pink is my youngest daughters favorite color, but interestingly enough the Copics Pinks are hard to match to paper. SIGH... It took a couple of tries, but I think I got close.
The design paper is Basic Grey, and quite frankly a little strange for me to use two different ones but it feels good. Although I love the sentiments that come with the different stamp sets, sometimes you want some of the "basics" in sentiments to go with your card or work. I used the "new to me" Bombshell Sentiments. I love these, because they can be added to whatever other stamp you want to work for so many different occasions. Also, there are a couple of blank banners you can add anything to. YAY.

I used the Lovely Halloween Costume digi-stamps to color up. I love this lady because she can be used for so many things. The pinks are RV10, 11, 13, 14 and 17. The blacks are C3,5,7 and her skin tones are E00, 01, 11 with her hair being the darker of that line - E13, 15, 17, 18 and a little E29 thrown in.
In this image, the light is coming from the front left, and the cape is bollowing quite a bit, so for example, the bottom right hand part of the cape in the image is out in front of the front edge of it. I also made the "black" a bit lighter grey, so that it looked a little shiny, reflecting - like Satin.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you check out what the other lovely ladies have done for this challenge by checking out the Bombshell stamps blog. And, if you play along with it, or with the Sketch challenge... you are entered to win a chance at free rubber!!! "Nudge Nudge"
Thank you for stopping by. I love having all of you visit. Have a great rest of the week.

Gettin' Sketchy
Hey all. It is time for the Bombshell Sketch Challenge for October. I got in the Ahoy Sailor stamps, and decided to ink them up and go with the classic red, white and blue for the scheme, but it needed some flash - - needed to add silver.
The blues are B91, 93, 95, 97, and the Reds are R32, 35, 37, 39. The skin is E00, 11, 13 and the hair E13, 15. I added some of the stardust pen and added some sparkles to her hat, and to her Outfit. Cuz really - can you imagine me making a card without sparklies? Yeah Right.
I hope you all check out the Bombshell blog and what the lovely ladies have cooked up for your inspiration. And maybe even try your hand at winning some REALLY cool stamps that are SO Much fun to color. Seriously... You can do so much with them.
OK... See you later this week.

A little Buggy
I had so much fun coloring this one up. Really... And for some reason it is one of my faves in a LONG time.
The image stamps are Stamps by Judith and the sentiment is Paper Pretties. I colored up the bug using YG11, 13, 17 and the wings are the same cool greys as the cap. I went around the bug with a little Y0000, and then used BG0000 and BG000 for the glass.
The paper is DCWV, and for the ribbons I actually used two different ribbons and layered them solid Yellow and then a sheer lime green with white dots.
OK... It has been a long day, and I need to go get ready for my work t-con with China, so... I will let you all go now. Please make sure to stop back by on Wednesday for the Sketch Challenge card for Bombshell stamps for October. I had a blast with this sketch.

Heavy Metal - MissAlaineous' style
So Flourishes release week challenge this week is Heavy Metal. Use a little Heavy Metal on your card. I chose to use this GORGEOUS wreath to make this.
I used several different greens to get the greenery - from G21, 24, 28 to YG63, 67 to G82, 85 and 94, 99...I did this to try to get massive color gradiation - alas... can't tell there are that many greens in here. Hmmm. Back to the drawing board. In my last post I talked about really liking the B60, 63, 66 colors, and these are what I used. I was going for a silvery blue color throughout, and tried to make everything realted in color. Once I was done I used the stardust pen to go over the ribbon and the balls and pine cones to make them look a bit shiny and glittery and a little metallic.
The final Metal piece is - - you got it - - metal. :-) This is a sheet of metal foil that I used my Impressabilities on and ran it through my grand Calibur. So now you have the snowflakes in the background.
Hope you enjoy, and I did make another card so far this weekend and plan on making a couple more... so I will definitely have at least one to share tomorrow. And honestly, I think it is my favorite simple card in a while. Not sure why, but I love how it turned out. So I hope you come back again and see how this one turns out too. TTFN!

Sprakly Serenity
Hey Weekend peeps. Well I have to say so far it is a pretty good weekend - had my nails done, Oklahoma walked all OVER tu, and the Aggie game is on tonight. So it is all good. Including this fun card I made last night and finished today, and WHOOP it works for the Kraftin Kimmie challenge today which is to Sparkle and Shine. So Coolness abounds!
The paper is DCWV Once Upon a Time Collection and has a lot of sparkly shiny pieces as you can see. I also added stardust sakura to the flute, and her hair ties. And last - the With Love charm is all shiny and pretty.
But the best part of this for me was the coloring. I had a blast coloring her up, and layered lots of different colors. I was a little inspired by the paper that had different color layers layered on top of each other.
The Green part of her gown was BG10, 11 and a little 13. But I went over it with G40 to brighten it a bit. The bluish purple was colored with B60, 63, 66, and again I went over it after with RV0000 to add some other tones to it. The E50, 51, 53 was her skin, and I used the RV000 again to add some tones to her face. Her hair was Y21, 23, 26 with a little E04, while her belt was E04 with RV34 for the shadows. I used the purpley blue again on her eyes and flowers in her hair bows.
I am really starting to dig the B60, 63, 66. I didn't use much of this in the past, but I am loving the colors now. Not sure why.
OK. Off to be doing some more Crafty things. Have a great weekend! I plan on it!

Devil with the Blue Dress
Hey there guys. I am here to share a card I did the other day... ok... I started it a couple of weeks ago, and then finished it up tonight.
This is a really sexy Kenny K Steampunk Image that I colored up with Copics. I used B1x series on the blues and Cool greys on the blacks. The skin is E000, 00, 01, R20. Simple, easy, peasy. Once I had her colored up, I cut her out, and then found this wonderful keyboard paper in a DCWV stack. Placed it on there, and then used some blingy bling to finish it off.
Other than that, not much going on Crafty wise. Waiting for the weekend when Maybe I can truly get my Craft on! So check back later this week - and hopefully I will have be adding some more stuff!!!

Wacky World Card Making Challenge - Flourishes
Flourishes hosted a World Card Making Day challenge - to use a picture of your favorite cartoon character as inspiration for your card. Well anybody who knows me, knows I LOVE TINKERBELL.
I found this picture of Tink out there and used it as my inspiration:
Based on the colors in this, I came up with the following card:
This is the first one that I have made in a long time - since I was in Germany last week. It was great to get back in with such a fun challenge.
I found this picture of Tink out there and used it as my inspiration:
Based on the colors in this, I came up with the following card:
I used YG21, 23, 25 for the greens, and BG01, 02, 05, 07, 09 for the rose. The ribbons were B61, 63 and then I went over a lot of it with a stardust pen - Youc an see that a bit better on the closeup below. Once I cut it out, I left it in the die and airbrushed with RV02.
The Paper is DCWV and I embossed the Dream with Zing Silver.
