World Card Making Day - It's a MAD place here!

Bombshell Stamps is celebrating World Card Making day. But we can't be all just -- oh lets make a card - - NO... we are too weird!

You see today is also MAD HATTER DAY! Woo Hoo! So we are making a Card for the day - but we are doing it Mad Hatter Style - Use or make those hats!!!!

I used Peek-A-Boo Geisha and Lotus Garden to make my card.  I also used a technique on the flower to reverse stamp it (you can check out my tutorial HERE). The crowning glory for this card was the HAT! I looked at several hats to put on her, but it came down to this one being the most authentic. I did draw one that was much wavier, but it just did not work!

The Bombshell DT has worked out some beautiful MAD cards. You should check out the blog and take a gander at what all they have done.

Now... I will have a bunch of cards going up this week and the next. I hope you come back and check them out!

The CPS Cardsketch is BALANCED

Hey all. Bombshell stamps has the WONDERFUL privelage of sponsoring the CPS Cardsketch challenge this week. YAY!!!! A chance for y'all to win RUBBER... and BOMBSHELL RUBBER even! WHOOP!

Ok, now that I have that out of my system. The sketch this week (#256):

This Week's Sketch (#256)
Now, I can't just leave well enough alone, so I had to flip the sketch... AH... that made me feel so much better. Because as my mother will tell you I LOVE for things to be symmetrical, and while I am ok with things being heavier on bottom or top, I get kind of TWITCHY when they aren't balanced side to side. HAHAHA. My own little CDO (Obessive Compulsive Disorder in its proper Alphabetical order).

I chose to use Lotus Garden to create this card. The paper is Basic Grey and worked out SO very well with it. And yes, as usual I chose the paper AFTER I colored my images. LOL.

The fish are colored with Y1x and 2x and YR1x markers. The water is colored with B1x Copics, and was done using the airbrush. Once I was done with the airbrushing I used modpodge dimensional lacquer on it to give the water shininess.

I hope you all pop on over to the CPS sketch challenge this week, and maybe you can win some of the pretty rubber for your very very own.

Check back Wednesday for another Bombshell sketch challenge. And I hope to have some other things posted. It is release week over at Flourishes and I really need to start winning some of that schtuff!

A very COLORFUL Blog Hop today

Hey there all! It is Blog Hop time over at Bombshell Stamps.  If you arrived here from Alison's blog you are on the right track. If not - head on over to the Bombshell Stamps Blog and start your trail off right!  We are a hopping away today with a little bit of a color challenge. The Rockin Alison - The Goddess of the Bombshell Blog Hops has asked us to follow this wonderful colorful theme in our pursuit of Bombshell Hoppiness today!

44916557_a2yGNvL9_b[1].jpg Apparently she wanted us to use at least three of the colors in this. You know me - I can never just sit back and coast through, so I used ALL the colors. :-) The image is from the new GORGEOUS Lotus Garden Stamps - one of Bombshell Stamps new Asian themed stamp sets.

I used V000 and then RV63 and 66 for the main flower. The water is BG70, 72, 75, 78 for the water.  Now - A few of you know this already - I did take the Intermediate Copic Certification about a week and a half ago. It was AWESOME! One of the things they encouraged was more use of Shadows and darker colors. So I also added in a bit of RV99 to the flowers. I thought - it looks good, but to me the shadows really show up cool in the close up.  I hope to show some more off, but have not had the time since I got back later Saturday night and I have not had much time to practice. And trust me when I say, the key to Copics is PRACTICE.

Now - Your next stop on the hop is to visit the lovely  Jennie's blog.  And if you get lost you can always head back to the Bombshell Blog and start again!

Thank You for stopping by. I hope to see you again REALLY REALLY soon!!!
