Operation Write Home Memorial Day Blog Hop!



Today is the day for the Operation Write Home Memorial Day blog Hop. Operation Write Home Supports the armed forces stationed overseas by sending blank handmade greeting cards for them to write home on, as well as cards of gratitude to encourage them.  You should have arrived from Jennifer's blog Crafty Card Gallery.  If not, click on the image above and it will take you to the beginning of the hop.

The theme of this blog hop is "Missing You".  And here is my Missing You card. I think she reminds me of the old tyme USO gals!
We are asked to keep this short so that all of you can visit all the other great crafty people out there participating in this hop, so I will try. :-)

Background is stamped with Versamark and clear embossed. The white pearls are pearlex paint. The image is Bombshell Angel with the Evening Bombshell Digital Stamps. I colored her up with Copics - main colors are the 2X series (B2x, R2X, Y2X). The sentiment is from Flourishes Orchids Set.

    Definitely a USO gal!! I love her!! I wish I could get so good with my Copics. I can't get the blending and shading down right. Mine are a messy blob. Great job on your card!!

    What a classy card! I am playing a game where I take inspiration from each blog I see, and make a card from it. I saw your card and thought "I have nothing!!!" I make such goofy cards. I tried to make a card, but comparing it to the classic beauty of yours would be so wrong, that I won't be posting it to FB like I did the others. Thank goodness for the beauty of your cards to balance out the silliness that is mine!
