It's not so Shabby - and it's pretty Chic

Hey all! The challenge this month posted by Milo - the oh so talented Ms. August is to create a card that is shabby chic. I am not so hot with the Shabby - - it is so not linear and symmetrical enough for me and very distressed which is a little distressing to me. So I took my best shot and created this card for you. My interpretation of Shabby chic is to have differnt layers of the same thing with different textures and then throw a little glam and glitz and a slight color in there. I hope you like it.

I used the base card, and have a layer with one embossing folder, a second layer under the frame with a second embossing folder, and then the frame. I colored up the gorgeous rose, and cut her out and placed her in the frame. The frame was created by using two Nesties and Nesting them. :-)  Then while the frame was still in them, I airbrushed with my copics. RV91, 93, 95 and 99. The first layer RV91 is created with the chisel end... and the other colors are layered on top of it using the brush end to airbrush... this makes it more speckled. I used the same technique on the fancy label nestie.

For Rose I used the E0000, E000, E00 because I wanted really light skin. The pinks are the RV91, 93, 95 and 99. The hair is E50 base, with E71, 74, 77 layered through. The green is YG61, 93, 97, 99. The eyes are BG70 and 72, with B63, 66 and 79. I added some sparkle to the edges of the rose and the earring to make it shine.

Thank You for checking out my attempt at shabby chic. Please go check out the other Bombshells and see what all they have cooked up for this lovely challenge.
