Alison has asked that we pull out our stencils for this months Hump Day Hop. I don't use stencils a lot AND I recently took a distress ink class.. so combination time. You should have arrived from Jodi's spectacular lair. If you have not seen hers yet - then check out the links below to enjoy the entire thing.
The image is Cherry Bomb from Bombshell of course. I printed out the sentiment and the inside says "With a Cherry on Top!"
I colored her with R32, 35, 37 and 39 for her outfit and the cherry with a little YG23, 25 and G17 for the leaves. Her skin is YR000, 00, E11. Her hair is E23, 25, 27, 29.
I used a swirly template from The Crafters Workshop for the background paper. I pressed the Versamark into the swirly template onto the paper and once completed I clear embossed it. I then distress inked it with grass green.
The flowers I arranged on a separate piece of paper and then cut it out. That way I could put the glue down and get everything the way I wanted it, and then once dry it was easy to place all at once. I think I will use this trick more often.
Now - this hop is very cool. So hip hop along like a happy Easter Bunny... and stop along the way at all the pretty places that have been stenciled for your enjoyment. Your next stop is Susie! If you get lost - the entire list is HERE!

See you next time!!!
What a stunner! The elements you used are simply perfect for Cherry Bomb. Love the stencil you used. It's such a Summery card...I love it.
ReplyDeleteFor someone who doesn't use stencils, you obviously need to get more and use them more often since this is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteYou are officially a genius.

I never, ever would have thought of that. Brilliant!
Beautiful card and coloring as always Alaine! Great sentiment, it goes wonderfully with the Cherry Bomb set. The stencil is great too.
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree with Kathi, you are definately a genius! That flower trick is absolutely terrific!
I love the bright colors and the senti is perfect! I love it!
ReplyDeleteNot exactly stenciled but never the less very kewl
ReplyDeleteHer background is stenciled. Doesn't it look like professionally printed paper? If I didn't know it was a stencil challenge, I may have missed it! :)
