Monochromatic Yin Yang Thang

The Copic Creations challenge going on right now is to color a Monochrome piece. I have this stamp from JudiKins called Dragon and Phoenix.  Circling like it is, it supposedly represents the Yang (Dragon - Male) and the Yin (Phoenix - Female), and harmonious marriage.

I want to color it again with lots of different colors, but I thought it would be an interesting stamp to try the monochrome technique with.

I used R20 as the base for both the dragon and the phoenix. I gradually added darker and darker colors on top in smaller increments and then back blended. I used R20, 22, 24, 27, 29 and 59.

For the flowers on the edge and in the middle, the base color is R24, with R27 and a little 29 over the top to add shadows.

I tried to blend a little better in some areas, but in others leave it a bit more distinct.

Thanks for looking, and hope to see you back soon.
