Playing in the Sugar Bowl

But not football. The Sugar Bowl in this case is the Sugar Nellie Challenge Blog. I haven't done this before, but it looked like fun, and it was definitely a challenge. The Challenge was a sketch challenge + punches challenge.

[Tiets1b4.jpg]Because there were so many layers, I chose the patterned paper first, and colored the image to work with it.  I chose this SEI paper I have had for a while but hadn't used. Then I chose the colors of Copics to go with it.
Pants - E25, 27, 29
Hair Y21, 23, 26, 28
Grass - G94, 99
Basket - E31, 33
Flowers and Bows - YR02, E08
Shirt - BG32, BG72, BG75 - The shirt was a little weird, because I did not have the exact color of Copic to match the background paper, so I used BG32, and went over it with the BG72. Then I darkened with the BG75 and then blended it all again with the BG32. It gave it a totally different color feel.

The punch I used was the Martha Stewart Holly Punch, and I added a little gold bling to it. The hardest part was the layering, there were so many. I did spray the image with iridescent gold glimmer mist to give it a shimmer.

This was fun and I plan to check them out and do their challenge again sometime.

Thank you for checking me out today. See you soon - - Alaine
