Built for Speed!

Hey there everyone! It is time again for the monthly Pin-Up challenge for Bombshell Stamps. Miss May - the wonderful Raven has challenged us this month to use LINENS or LACE on our creations. I found this lovely black and whiet checkerish fabric over at JoAnns, and used it to make up my finish line flags and the road!

I used the King of the Road Stamp set to stamp out the car. I colored it in hot pink because it was too much fun! I almost titled it Pink Lady! I cut out the flags with a triangle Nestie. I used red line tape to wrap around the flower soft stem, and then wrapped the edge of the triangle flags. After that I dipped the red line tape edge into gold flower soft and made it stick. I know that you can use glue, but I think I like using this tape better. It was not quite as messy. I also cut a length of the tape and placed it on the fabric, and the wrapped it around the tape to get the "ribbon".
For the coloring I used RV00, 02, 04, 06, 09, C1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and then B000 for the glass and the headlights. I also used a LITTLE bit of Y00 in the center of the headlights. Once I was done with the initial coloring I colored over the grey areas with clear Spica, and then I colored over the pink with the very lightest of pink spica, to give it that shimmery paint look. I used crystal effects on the windows and the headlights to finish it off.

The sentiment (also from the King of the Road set) is stamped with Versafine and clear embossed.

Now why don't you all just SPEED on over to the Bombshell Blog and see what the other hot ladies have for this challenge. And, while you are there - why not just enter a creation. You can cross the finish line there or over at the Bombshell Forum and maybe end up with some lovely rubber as your prize!

Hope to see you back here again soon. Next week is the oh so Goth Bombshell Blog Hop (you can sign upto participate in it here, or you can just come back and hop along with us)!
