Flourishes Challenges - two in one

Flourishes has their weekly Timeless Tuesday challenge where Dee is challenging us to use no embellishments (YIKES). They have also started a new challenge this month called Bringing Back Beautiful. This one is challenging us to show off our color (favorite method). Well... that is an easy one - I use Copics. :-)

For this challenge I picked the Beauty Within set. 

I colored the roses with the R81, 83, 85, 89 Copics, and the Greens are YG63, 67, 99 and I went over them with YG25 to brighten them a bit. I tried to keep it simple and just used the BG0000 and BG000 on the glass behind. Once I was done, I cut out the image, and then cut several Nesties (two cut with Cuttlebug, the green was traced and then cut out by hand). I wanted to try to mimic the blue in the image, so I took two similar blues, only darker, and cut them out in odd shapes with the edges of Nesties. Then I layered them. I love working with solid cardstock and trying to give it a design paper look. This was all mounted on a white card base.
