Black and White Bombshell Fright

Hey all my goblins and ghouls! Glad you made it over here to my home on the web for this Halloween edition of the Bombshell Hump Day Hop! You should have arrived from Mary's Blog, if not, please catch all of our goodies starting on the Bombshell blog.

Ms. Alison, our Hip Hostess for all Hump Day Hopping was especially excited this month as she is a HUGE fan of all things Halloweeny. She charged us to create a Halloween themed card - but with a twist - Black and White only! Immediately I knew I wanted to color something a little doodly / zentangly.

I used Bombshell Angel and Halloween Costume sets to create this lovely lady. But - with a twist!!!! A Zentangly twist. I took the outfit and used Copic multiliners and went to town on her outfit and her hair.  Once I was done, I worried it was too busy, but once I got the whole thing together I was really happy with her. I did use a touch of C3 on her to give her some shading in her skin and on her legs.

She has been cut out, and then mounted on foam tape. I printed out the saying from Young Frankenstein (LOVE Madeline Kahn) on my laser printer and adde that to the card. Finished it off with the blingy spiders.

Now... Off you go to the next blog on the block, which is EMIILY!! I hope you have a very happy Halloween.

Sparkly Blingy Shimmery - Ahhhhh my kind of challenge

Hey there all of you Bombshell peeps and blogland buddies - the October pin-up challenge is to create with your Bombshell stamps and include some bling, sparkle, shimmer and shine in the Halloween colors of black, orange, green or purple. Your creation does not need to be Halloween themed however. In fact, even better if it isn't!

Ok... I have to say 1) Sparkle and Bling - YAY! 2) green and purple and black are great (orange - Uh - Aggies are allergic) and 3) - It is October so I had to go with Halloween themed. Sorry Ms. October - I had to!

I used some background paper and Stickled the heck out of it. :-) For the witch I used Bombshell Angel and Halloween Costume. I will be honest - I do not know the colors I used on her. I forgot to write them down. I do know that I went over certain items with a shiny stardust gel pen. You can see it as streaks like spiderwebs on her corset. In real life it doesn't reflect quite as much and it just looks all sparkly. :-)

I actually really like how this turned out. It was very simple, but I love the sparkliness of it.

Now, I hope if you didn't come here from the Bombshell blog that you go on over and check it out, and maybe stick around a bit and play along with us for the chance to win some pretty cool stamps!

Purple and Green And Black - Oh My!

Bombshell Angel for this card along with Halloween Costume Outfits. I love these outfits... especially this caped one. Gorgeous, and a lot of fun to color up (more on that later). The background print is not printed paper, but black paper with VersaMark stamped image from the Bombshell Patterns stamps, then embossed with purple and green embossing powder. I mounted these on sparkly green paper, and then on black card base.

I colored her up with all sorts of pretty puples and greens. For the purples I used a standard V12, 15, 17, 09. But for the greens I got a little more adventurous. That is YG13, 25, 67. I tend to color light to dark. So I start by coloring all the light colors in first, and layering on the dark and going back over it. For the Green on her dress I tried to make it a little more smooth, where the purple lining I wanted a little bit of texture, so I did a lot of streaking motions on this one. For some reaosn I picture the inside of this cape as royal purple velvet.
Entering this in the MarkerPop Challenge for Anything!!! (cuz this is anything!)

Thanks for popping by. Hope to see you again soon.

Avast me Hearties - Splatter thee up!

It is a dual post for ye fine spirited mateys today.  Ye query why I be speaking this way? Well it is the fine "Talk Like a Pirate" day, and I have made a card in celebration.

Me Pirate Lassy be colored up with the Bountiful Copics, and other bounty from the same set adorn the treasure map she lounges upon. In her dreams are the wish to "go on account" in her own clipper ship.

The second card was made for the Mighty Lass Ms. September and her wish for us to splatter upon the paper all manner of painted items.

Her dress was adorned with thee copics colors three, although applied very differently. HEE HEE - I Rhymed. I sprayed the colors through the flexible tip, I even got refills and let it drip. Once she was colored and cut out so fine, the bling was added to make it shine.
OK.- - I need to get some sleep. OBVIOUSLY.

Close up of her outfit:
Ye mateys should check out the Bombshell blog post on Wednesday to see how you can win some loot, bounty, something from the Bombshell Coffers!

Ms. May I? Brought to you by the letter P

It is that time again!Time for the monthly pin up challenge. Ms. May has proposed a game of tic-tac-toe.  She asked that we use three items in a row from the following board. Across, Down or Diagnoally.
Image
I chose to use Bombshell Angel, Dress her up in a slinky evening gown, and add a lot o bling (surprise surprise). Since she needed to be very elegant and all I chose to go with the Pearls, Purple and Pins.

She is colored up with E50, 51, 53 for her showing off the skin parts. The dress is V20, 22, 25 and 28. Her hair started with a layer of Y21, and had E23, 25, 27 colored over it. The blacks are C3,5,7,9.  I used the Banner Sayings blank banner, and wrote with a copic multiliner the Best Wishes.

This card was made for a co-worker - - well by the time you read this - - an ex-co-worker. He was a great guy, a really hard worker, and a ton of fun to be around. He got another job and we will miss him a lot. He is very into fashion and every time I color up one of these ladies I think of him... especially Girls Ruin with the shoes. :-) I never knew what a Louboutin shoe was before him. Now I know they have red bottoms, can be pretty scary looking and more expensive than most people can afford. :-)

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you have a great week and please join us over at Bombshell for a chance to win some free rubber!!!!
